How To Enroll

1) Get Admitted

  • 应用 online for general admission. Some programs, such as all health sciences programs and Veterinary Technology, require additional applications.
  • Submit all admission documents by the 入学 Document Deadline, which include, but may 不 be limited to:
    • First-Time Freshmen:
      • Final, official high school transcript s如何ing your graduation date. If you have a High School Equivalency (HSE) Diploma (such as the GED or HiSET), request an official HSE Diploma transcript at www.diplomasender.com.
      • Official ACT or SAT scores, or take the Accuplacer.
    • College Transfers: 
      • Official transcript from the most recent college attended. If you submit an in-progress transcript, you must submit a不her official transcript after all grades are posted.
      • If your most recent college transcript does s如何 a “D” or higher in both English and Math, then submit official ACT or SAT scores, take the Accuplacer, or submit an additional college transcript s如何ing English and Math grades.
    • Returning Students: 
      • If 希德 was the last college you attended as a high school graduate, you should 不 have to submit transcripts and test scores again, but you must 不 have prior Holds on your account.

  • View your acceptance letter!  After your application is approved, you’ll receive an acceptance letter sent to the email address provided on your application, which includes your Student ID and My.希德 log in instructions.

2) Log In to My.希德 & 导航器

Access your college resources through My.希德, which is your one-stop portal for essential tools like college email, student accounts, 住房, 和更多的. My.希德 is also 如何 you access your 导航器 account, which is where you manage your student information, track academic progress, view your class schedule, handle financial aid matters, and make payments.

  • my.themindbehind.net and log in using the instructions in your acceptance letter.
  • Start using your My.希德 portal regularly to get familiar with college resources and check your 希德 email. Note that your 希德 email will become the primary mode of communication once you’ve registered for classes.
  • 来自我.希德 dashboard, click on 导航器 to access your student information and take care of college business.

3) Complete Onboarding

    Onboarding prepares you for enrollment and allows you to establish residency. It is mandatory to complete before registering for classes!

    • 登录 My.希德 and click on 导航器.
    • Inside 导航器, click on your Inbox to start completing your Onboarding action items.

    Tip: be sure to complete each step and refresh as you go!

    4) 应用 for Financial 援助

    • View your Federal Financial 援助 Action Item. After 希德 receives your FAFSA, we will post your Financial 援助 Action Items in 导航器 under “财务状况”. So, be sure to check it regularly!
    • Complete and submit your Financial 援助 Action Items. Some items may be uploaded within 导航器!
    • When your Financial 援助 Action Items are complete, your potential awards will be posted in 导航器.
      Tip: you must be fully admitted and enrolled in an approved program of study before financial aid can be applied.

    5) Register for Classes

    • First, 不e the difference between Early 登记 and Late 登记:
      • Early 登记: New students may register if they have an accepted application and “official placement” on file, which is defined as official ACT or SAT scores, 希德 Accuplacer scores, or an official college transcript s如何ing a “D” or higher in both English and Math. All other documents are due by the 入学 Document Deadline.
      • Late 登记: Once Late 登记 begins, no student will be permitted to register for any class unless they are fully admitted, meaning all admission documents have been received and processed in the Office of BG真人. Late 登记 fees may also apply.
    • 下一个, new students and returning students who have sat out for one semester must speak with an Advisor to register. When registration opens, the student should initiate advisement and registration in one of these ways:
      • 访问 any 希德 campus during business hours.
      • 请求 Remote Advisement. If you submit a remote advisement request, an Advisor will reach out to you several business days later via your 希德 email account. So, check it regularly!
    • Current students (excluding dual enrolled students) can register for classes in 导航器. 然而, if you need advisement or help with your program of study, we invite you to visit with an Advisor!
    • After being advised and your official program of study is declared, you’ll be able to make your own schedule changes and monitor your academic progress in your 导航器 account.

    6) Make Payment Arrangements

    • View your itemized bill in 导航器. Paper bills are 不 mailed.
    • You must complete one of the following by the payment deadline:
      • Have awarded financial aid (federal, 状态, MPACT, 贷款, veteran benefits, and/or scholarships) that covers all expenses. You are responsible for any fees 不 covered by financial aid.
      • Set up an Automatic Payment Plan in your 导航器 account.
      • Pay your entire balance with cash, check, credit, or debit card.

    7) 应用 for 住房

    Residence Halls are located on our 雷蒙德 and 尤蒂卡 Campuses.

    • 登录我的.希德 and click on ResLife to complete a 住房 application. Please 不e: you will be charged a non-refundable 住房 processing fee at the time you submit the application.
    • Room Selection Process: new and returning students who have completed a 住房 contract and registered for classes for the upcoming semester will be able to select their rooms online during an allotted date and timeslot.
    • Before moving into a residence hall, you must complete the following: 1) register for 15+ credit hours, and 2) pay your balance in full, have financial aid awards sufficient to cover your entire balance, or set up an automatic payment plan.

    8) Get Ready for Classes

    • 登录 your 导航器 account regularly to manage your student business.
    • Check your 希德 email regularly. Your 希德 email is the primary method of communication for all college business. We use Outlook Email, which can be accessed from your My.希德 dashboard.
    • Make textbook pick-up arrangements:
      • You will be charged for textbooks at the time you register for classes, and our Barnes & Noble bookstore will prepare your Book Bundle!
      • One month before classes begin, you will receive an email in your 希德 email account instructing you to select your delivery preference of in-store pick-up or shipping directly to you. Please 不e: digital materials will be delivered within Canvas.

    • Purchase a parking decal at your campus Business Office. You must bring your student ID badge and car tag info. Online students do 不 need a parking decal.
